Bubble looked onto the table and saw Hailey. If Digi hadn`t stopped her and explained everything she would of screamed and lashed out believing Hailey was a pest! But after being told the tale by Digi, She seemed much calmer and even adored the little human. “No I take a closer look, Shes sort of cute~”Bubble happily chimed. Hailey stood in the open and shuffled her feet ,overcome by emotion. She had never been called cute before. Digi smiled happy to see the two now were getting along. He turned to his girl and put an arm around her ,” So did you come over to tell me something or just to see me? Cuz if it’s the second one.. that’s sorta the guys job” He joked. Bubble laughed, “You don`t have to be so knight-like, That’s Crona`s job to Vanellope, But yeah there was something I was going to say” She pondered her thoughts for a moment then ,snapping her fingers as she remembered, “Oh yeah, There was a race on tonight and I was wondering if you were racing?”She asked hopeful he was. Digi had forgotten to update his calendar to remember races in sugar rush so this was the first he was hearing of any race. “Of course “He winked “No going easy yeah”. Bubble nodded, she gasped “We better go sign up now!“ She left for the door. Digi looked at Hailey, “I`ll just have to drop Hailey back” He informed her. She nodded and the two agreed to meet up again in the sugar rush game.
They arrived at the venue together. The karts were parked in what seemed like a circle. The two jumped out and walked towards the entrance catapult. Suddenly Digi stopped, Bubble didn`t realize and almost fell backwards. “Hang on a sec!” Digi politely instructed “Ive seen this kart before” Bubble turned to look with Digi. He was looking at a yellow dodger challenger. Then a female laugh echoed behind them, “Told you I was racin` didn`t i?” She spoke. Digi turned and shook her hand using his free hand, “Alice Cees, How good to see you again. Bubble this is Alice.” Bubble had no idea who Alice was at first so suspected Digi had a crush on her! It was only until Digi had told her how it was Alice who helped him save Hailey and was now looking after the miniature human, that she accepted Alice. As Alice jumped in her kart the couple entered using their entry tokens from previous wins. Sparkz came jolting up behind them and launched her hand on to Bubble shoulders, Scaring her. Bubble turned to receive a hug from Sparkz. The girls began chatting about stuff, Digi could never understand any of it so just blanked it out. There was a few minutes before the race so Digi decided to let Bubble talk and take a walk quickly, He hadn`t raced much of yet so just wanted to relax.
Digi walked past a park noticing a group picking on a racer. Digi ran over and watched in shock as bullies kicked and punched at the helpless racer. The group parted to allow Digi through. The racer being beaten up was Swizzle! Digi may of hated Swizzle but he couldn`t see it good for anyone to be treated this way. A bully steped forward and gave Digi a iron pole “Have one strike on the house, Digi” The bully spoke. Digi growled and dropped the pole, stunning the bullies. “No!”, The same bully went to pick up the pole but Digi had slammed his foot down on it “GET AWAY FROM HIM! LEAVE HIM ALONE AND I WONT HAVE TO HURT ANY OF YOU!!!”Digi screamed at the crowd. They quickly dispersed, Mumbling how Digi had lost his mind, gone crazy or was just being a douche! Swizzle was sat crying in pain. When he looked up all Swizzle saw was Digi standing sideways to him looking away with his hand held out. “You may be one hell of a pain in the ass but.... You kept her safe! And I guess my selfish jealousy was a bit outter hand! Anyway No-one should be treated like dirt! So, Waddya say? Rivals?'”Digi growled softly. Even though his growl was vicious, It had a friendly and inviting tone. Swizzle reached out and grabbed Digi`s hand. He was heavier then he looked but Digi had no problem pulling the lollipop themed boy up. The bro-fisted and then turned as they heard laughing. Gloyd walked toward the two chuckling, “Good to see you two finally sorted things out!” He applauded “Came to tell ya the race is about to start” Digi and Swizzle looked at each other and nodded. They dashed past Gloyd. “Last one there`s a rotten apple!” Digi Shouted over to his rival. Gloyd facepalmed. `God`He thought, `Its Ash VS Gary all over again`. He had a little knowledge of pokemon, He put his hands in his pockets and walked off back to the starting line.
