Description
Digi found himself being shoved through the door of his new house where he was plunged into the darkness. Digi couldn`t help but feel scared as the pitch black creeped over him. Suddenly Light broke through the black and illuminated the room. Digi closed his eyes, the light blinded him for a few moments. Even though he was unable to see ,Digi could feel the presence of many people. He could feel the wavelength of their souls, crowded into the main hall. Then ,as Digi reopened his eyes ,voices broke the silence. All shouting a single word, `Surprise!` Digi was amazed with the sight which met his gaze. Not only was the placed packed with locals but also with his fellow Digi-Heroes , Members from other games and all the sugar racers; Digi would have been ok with this fully if Swizzle hadn`t come! Digi looked around the hall. The walls were bricked, the roofing wood and luscious red carpet covered the floor. Digi was about to burst into tears of happiness when a set of booming vibrations started from the nearest room on the right, The vibrations increased intensity as a distinctive bass formed, party music! `So this is why the sugar rushers stayed here for all these nights!`, Digi finally put pieces together in his mind. The crowd cheered as Digi took his steps into the lounge. Sure enough Dj was there, Playing fresh tracks on his deejay station. And with that the party began. During the party Digi was given a tour of his place, He was amazed at how near perfect to his designs the house was. There were a few differences, but they made the place so much better.
The clock was close to striking 10pm, Everyone was in the lounge making the best of the dance floor. Digi however just sat against the wall in a chair. He watched Bubble with bewildered eyes that sparkled as she twirled. He went to get up, He was going to ask her for the next dance, He could do it! But then Swizzle did his usual and invaded on the scene , taking her away. Digi sat back down. He was alone for only a few moments as Gloyd came over happily and sat beside him. “You alright?” He asked loudly, trying to be heard over the music. Digi sadly nodded , Gloyd put one arm over behind Digi and shook him by his shoulder “Lighten up! This is your party! Just let bygones be bygones!” .As quick as he sat, Gloyd stood back up and ran back to Sparkz who welcomed him back with open arms. Looking over ,Digi saw Frost gaze and growl angrily at the sight of his cousin with Gloyd which did make Digi chuckle. Then with a sigh Digi got up and went outside, No-one seemed to see him leave.
The water rippled as Hoppy Jumped onto a lily pad in the pond, Digi sat by the edge and peered into the water looking into his reflection. A tear fell and splashed against the still water causing it to pulsate, followed by another tear and another. Digi softly cried a mixture of happiness and sorrow. He listened to the muffled music and could hear the multiple voices of everyone. He continued to cry for a moment, letting his emotions drain into the silver pool below. Suddenly Digi felt something cold and metal press against the back of his head, something like... a gun!
“What are you doing out here soldier?” A feminine voice questioned “Your party`s in there! Sorry Im late”. Digi was scared. He had never been held at gunpoint before, All it would take is one finger movement on the trigger and his head would be blown out. Digi was well too aware of that! “Who.. who are you?” He asked. The lounge door slid open and Felix emerged. He seemed happy that Digi was at gunpoint. “Oh that’s where you got to! I see you met my dynamite gal” He chuckled. The gun was removed from the back of Digi`s head and slid back into its holder. Digi turned his head to look over his shoulder. A women dressed in battle armour loomed over him, She had to be at least Crona`s height. This must be the Calhoun Digi heard so much about from Ralph`s tale. She looked at him and laughed playfully, giving him a hand up.
Tekz rushed outside looking for Hoppy, carrying Bugxel on her back. Calhoun’s eyes widened on seeing the mini cybug. Quick as a jet before anything could be said, she pulled out a shock blaster and shot. Tekz jumped in the way and absorbed the bullet. Her markings turned a bright Orange and she shook violently, Volts of electricity jumped off her fur coat and crackled in the air. Digi stood petrified as Calhoun put her gun away “Sorry” She apologised “ still not used to calling a Cybug a friend!”. Both Digi and Felix decided to act as if none of that just happened and walked back inside.
The party continued until late in the night. As the clock struck midnight the music faded down to nothing. The television; On which people had been happily playing `just dance` on; was forcefully shut off and Ralph clapped his hands, silencing everyone. He spoke two words as the lights lost intensity ,getting duller. “Its time!”He followed up his small speech with a smile. A hype ran through the room as people jumped around with excitement. Digi had no idea what was going on but found himself in the middle of it all. He followed everyone upstairs to the balcony where he was pushed to the front. He leaned over the banister and looked to his left and right. He could defiantly see Ralph, Felix, Calhoun, and most of the other racers but there was no sign of Vanellope or Crona. Truth being the two had sneaked off at an earlier point to return home to take care of Lilly who ,As far as Digi could tell, was like an adopted child or something. He didn`t really know or care.
Everyone stared into the deep dark blue sky in which the stars shone like power-ups. Just as Digi was about to ask what explosions filled the air and Every colour of the rainbow shot across the sky like lightning. There was a few `oohs` and `ahhs` from the crowd as the impressive display of colour lit up the night sky. From behind him, Digi could swear he heard Bubble quietly speaking `excuse me please, coming through`. “Its lovely isn`t it?” The angelic voice returned as Digi looked beside him. Bubble had pushed her way to the front and was watching the fireworks in awe. Digi nodded as word rushed into his head. `Just like you` He thought. Suddenly he felt something grab his hand, He looked down and blushed when he saw it was her. His heart beat went hyper. He felt extremely overheated ,flustered and found it hard to breath. Swizzle barged his way in-between them breaking the held bond and Digi’s heart died ever so slightly. But looking up at the beautiful display of sparkles in the night, he didn`t mind Swizzles pure ignorance. He had held her hand and that was good enough for now.

Meanwhile elsewhere outside the arcade, in the human world A door slowly creaked open, The room inside was dark except for the glow created by the computer screen. A teenage male sat in his computer chair staring into the complex of the screen, He furiously typed on his keyboard. Crona entered the room and stood at the entrance beside a bed. The figure at the screen stopped typing and swirled round in his office chair. His face was clearly detailed except his eyes. The glasses the figure wore were illuminated by the light from the screen. The figure spoke in a deep yet calm voice, “ Yes Crona? You wanted to see me!”. Crona nodded and replied “ Its about Digi... and Gloyd, They seem so friendly almost as if…”. Crona was interrupted as the figure confirmed that Crona was right and explained. Crona`s eyes widened with disbelief more every sentence. “No…” He exclaimed stumbling backwards in shock. “Yes… But you mustn`t tell either of them or anyone for that matter! They must discover their joined fate on their own!”.Crona nodded and ran off back to the arcade.
