As the sky turned to the navy blue of night, the fair was illuminated by the colourful lights which switched on individually in a line. Over the cheers and shouts of joy music could be heard blaring away. Digi walked around with his hands in his pockets to the beat of the song; Crona had ran off not long ago so Digi was once again left to himself. He looked around at the stands as he passed. Dilly-da and Jubileena were selling cupcakes ; Skyla and Whirl had teamed up to create a shop; Gear and Gloyd had created a knock `em down stand; Rancis had managed to get boiler to work with him running a gobstopper game and Raven and Reena had got permission to look after the ghost train. There were stands that were chock full of sweets and cooked food which were being run by the parents. Digi wanted to give a game a go but he came with no intention of doing anything but racing and… one other thing. Gloyd called out and flagged Digi down. Kindly Gloyd paid for his brother to have a go. Digi thanked Gloyd for paying and Gear for fetching the balls but again, got what seemed to be a cold shoulder from the Digi-hero. Digi shrugged it off and gave the game ago, He didn`t win anything but It did make him feel better. Digi received a good luck from his brother as he continued his quest to the centre stage. The space around the stage was packed; Digi squeezed himself through the crowds until he could see the stage. Despite what Crona had said earlier it seemed to him that DJ and Rockstar was working in perfect unison. Digi smiled and enjoyed the music, It turned out that they had been working together to create a remix for sugar rush theme all day! So that’s why it sounded so similar Digi grinned. He glanced over and saw her, Bubble… Digi felt fear overcome him as he sneaked closer, Trying to be incognito. He managed to get close enough without her noticing. He reached into his pocket and took out a small item which he held tightly in his hand. He dropped it into her pocket and quickly fled before she would realise. He exited the crowd and took a deep breath of relief, She hadn`t seen him. He just hoped she would like his gift of an aquamarine pendant. Digi`s relaxation was cut short by the sound of crunching metal leaping towards him. Bugxel Landed on Digi`s face and began scratching. Digi managed to get hold of the mini Cy-bug and pull him off but had no time to recover. Sparkz angrily shouted her pets name and stormed closer. Thank gosh… she can control her…OOPH! Sparkz shoved Digi to the floor violently, “You leave my pet alone Teku!” She scolded. Digi couldn`t hold back anymore, tears started to form. Sparkz angrily scanned Digi as he looked up sadly, “What…. Happened to you?” He whispered. Sparkz lightly kicked him, showing some restraint, “Listen Teku! I don`t want to hate you but that’s the way things have to be, Get used to it”. Digi opened his eyes from the kick. Was there dust in his eyes or did Spark look regretful? She marched off leaving Digi to get help from Gloyd, who had seen everything. Gloyd looked at his girl as she vanished back into the crowds, “I don`t know what she`s become…. Or why I keep on dating her” He mumbled. Using Gloyd`s aid Digi got up and brushed himself down. He then took hold of Gloyd’s wrist.“Don`t talk like that… It’s not her fault we can`t be friends… and you stay with her because you love her; and you know it!”Digi replied, Tears clouding his vision. Gloyd looked into the sky, the stars now were in plain sight, hundred upon millions of them! “I guess your right”, The Halloween racer smiled. For the rest of the night Gloyd swapped out his job to spend time with his brother. Gear wasn`t very happy about having to work alongside Candlehead however that didn`t matter to the brothers. A few hours after arriving, an announcement was read by sour bill over the intercom, “May the Racers please make their way to the Starting line… The Meteor shower will soon commence!” He moaned. Digi received a slap on the back from Gloyd as he ran off, “Go show `em what your made of” Gloyd shouted. Digi nodded but there was still a spark of insecurity in his soul. Sour Bill announcing, does that mean that Vanellope wasn`t back?
