Love your nacelle design

Thanks.
The design isn't really mine.
It's just my interpretation of Matt Jeffries design for the Enterprise if they'd gone ahead with the new Star Trek series in the 70's.

When can I move in? Is my Ready Room, err, ready?

Which thing?

The "dry dock" space station. Clever pun, by the way.

Well - to be both fair and accurate - space is dry....

This is true. Space is a vacuum. There is no water there.

Just simply what it's referred to as.
A better name would be 'Construction Dock', because that's what it truly is, but I decided to stick with the terminology that was used in both the Phase II pre-production as well as Star Trek the Motion Picture.

So... the astronauts just float around fixing things? The panels aren't equipped to do laser surgery or equipped with tractor-beam tech? Huh.

Whoah, cool! It's great to see someone taking a stab at what the Enterprise might have looked like in the middle of her refit! The half-completed nacelle(?) shaft(?), that's a very clever touch... it was straight in the TV show and angular in the movies, I always wondered how they changed it... anyhow, great picture!

Thanks.
Actually the Enterprise has completed the physical aspects of her refit (her third actually) and is undergoing system checks before going on internal power.
Portions of the ship are somewhat hidden by the framework of the Orbital Drydock.
Before the first Star Trek Movie (Star Trek The Motion Picture), there was Star Trek Phase II. A new TV series that would follow the original crew of the Enterprise in new adventures in the final frontier. Many sets and a new model where nearing completion before the series was cancelled and a green light given to to the feature film.

Oh, I see! That's interesting! I guess I just thought this was a "halfway-through" stage because some of the markings seemed to still be TV-era (like the "headlights" still tipping the nacelles) yet most of the shape looked to be movie-era... (...My personal Trek-lore knowledge is limited to whatever was actually shown in the screentime of the original TV show or movies I thru VI... )
