Just toying with an idea..'Space:1999' began life, as most of you know, as a second series continuation of the Gerry Anderson series 'UFO'.
I've kept the premise, the Space: 1999 Hardware and updated the time-frame by 100 years.
I know others have done this too...
Here a trio of Mark IX Hawk Interceptors have been scrambled from Moonbase Alpha (in the crater Plato, the dark crater in the upper center portion of the Moon.) and are proceeding at full burn to intercept an unknown object approaching the Earth-Moon system.

Very welcome. Still using Blender? and have you gotten the latest version. Much more user friendly as far as rendering. Haven't delved into the geometric/texture/surfacing aspects yet, though.

I'm still modeling with Blender 2.49b. It's faster for me. Ive rendered some images with 2.53, I haven't downloaded 2.6 yet.I I've done a couple of renders in Lightwave but it's now on a 'puter that isn't currently hooked up to the internet.

Yes there was very little good science and a lot of fiction in Space:1999.
Especially in the 2nd season, too many changes and a downgrade to the Monster(s) of the week.
