(O)(O) wow thats a lot of colour.
Your shading gives them a wholesome shape wile seeming creating a light source from different directions. Some could see it as poorly done I see it as "On the right track :3 keep going!". Your shadows need to fall back if the light source coming from our field of view. seeing how theres a big light source behind them then the shadows should fall of the bottom of the page. theres a negative effect due to the bottoms of there feet are too bright. it makes them look like there floating a tad.
cartoon gender. pick is good but there's more simple cartoon things that can gender label a cute cartoon. girls stuff like glossy eyes, eye lashes , ect.
over all I like this picture you did a great job . now go from here and work harder with the skill you got
