Chapter 4

James could feel every one of the new Basium's movements, then outstretching his hand, James shouted "Go forth Basium! Show them all what true power really is!" in a small fit of madness showing the true effects of his heartbreak.

As the sun began to rise the giant silhouette of Basium could be seen in the center of the horizon, overlooking the city, descending upon it slowly, arms and tentacles splayed out, ready for attack. Coming to the nearest section of shuttlerail track, Basium raised one large, lance-like arm only to send it down in full force shattering the section of track into hundreds of pieces. Turning to his left, Basium could see a shuttlerail coming straight for him. Snapping out one of his tentacles in full force, Basium sent the car flying! Looking down into the smoldering wreckage Basium could see the number "03" printed on the side in bold, red letters. Suddenly, James shuttered in fear and anger and sadness, quickly realizing that was the very car He and Rose took with a young Basium to thier work in thier respective labs. In less than an hour the Atlantean military had already been called out to try to dispense with the threat that faced them. Robert Howitzer was in his signature war machine known simlpy as "Ares". Ares was a large tank like machine, painted red with two pairs of spiked treads and a large Atlantean cannon jutting out to the right of the cockpit. Robert had no idea what this thing was, all he knew is that his bloodthirst would soon be quenched...... Firing a giant pulse or electric plasma at the creature, Robert screamed into the radio, "FIRE!" as he held down the trigger on the joystick.

Basium recoiled in pain as the thirteen tanks smothered him in pulsating energy, James felt the same as he did, a mile away on the capital building. Arching thier arms back and sending them down, James and Basium synced up thier movements! Basium's arms began to glow black, as if a dark fog enulfed them..... Then, forming his arms into an X formation Basium released them as if breaking free from chains, sending a black shockwave straight at the machines! Leaving all of them in flames, except for Ares which was mearly flipped. Reacing for the radio, Robert ordered for backup. Several sconds later a small squadron of plane like vehicles ascended on Basium. Making his arms glow red and orange like fire, he easily shredded through them before they could even land a shot on him. The battle had raged on for several hours until Robert finnaly grew tired of mounting defeat....... Finnally ordering in for them to send in..... The Gameras.

Through Basium's eyes James could see a small army of large turtle-like creatures..... Gameras! The very creatures that Rose gave her very life to create. "You.... You.... It's all your fault!!!!!!!!" james screamed as he arched his back, causing Basium to do the same. Basium descended quickly into the mass of reptilian gaurdians, sending his lances into a flurry of attacks..... None of which could pierce the Gamera's shells. The Gameras then began to send charged fireballs at Basium, singing it's black hide. Giving almost every Gamera a chance to attack, leaving Basium weakened. Managing to rise into the air, Basium sped back towards James at the capital building. Barely making it to the edge of the building and plummeting at the foot of the structure, Basium crawled up, setting it's face down in front of James. Yet again James felt the irresistable urge to touch Basium as he hauled himself up to chest level with James. Touching the bright green cyrstal on Basium's chest, James was instantly absorbed into the gargantuan beast! Basium's face like mask split down the sides, forming a new jaw, rib like structures formed around the chest crystal, his stance changed to something much more animalistic, and giant, draconic wings erupted from his sides! Fully energized, the completed Basium took to the skies, going to finish what it had started. Turning to see the army of Gamera slowly approaching, Basium charged it's hands with glowing, erratic, energy then throwing them straight at the creatures, leaving large craters and death in thier wake. Blasting from it's mouth, giant blasts of energy rained upon the battle field, leaving holes and gashes in the turtles' shells. Descending upon the mass of Gamera, Basium covered it's arms in the same material that lay over it's face, forming sword-like appendages that he then used to cut several of the other creatures shells, and impaling several more. Growing bored from the carnage, Basium reformatted it's hand back to thier original shape and back flipped outsied the battlefield in one quick motion, opening the rib-like projections on it's chest, Basium's chest crytal eagn to irradiate with a massive force of energy..... Energy that came from the very layline beneath Atlantis! Once fully charged, Basium let loose! Nearly incinerating the Gamera, leaving only thier skeletons to fall to the mana infused dust below. Suddenly, the land began to shake from the force of a massive earthquake...... Atlantis was sinking! No longer able to support itself due to the island's very life energy being drained, waves came rushing over the once proud civilization, flooding streets, crushing buildings, ending lives...... Basium then retracted it's great wings, rising from the flames jettisoned from Basium's shoulder extensions, Basium rose up intot the air to watch the final remnants of Atlantis, sink beneath the waves..... All the while, still alive inside Basium.... James cried.....

Powers:

1. Retractable tentacles on back and on sides of head.

2. Mana cannon, 3 different levels, Level 2 demonstrated in story.

3. Able to reform armor around body in many different configurations (will go into detail on this in sketches i will post tommorrow)

4. Violet destroyers: Large, compressed, highly erratic balls of energy that form on hands and can be thrown if desired.

5. Vast intelligence due to full fusion with James.

6. Speed of up to Mach 6.

7. Patterns on body can lift off and be controlled.

8. Extreme strength.

9. Able to absorb the life force of other organisms. Can adopt traits if desired.

10. Black Shockwave: Engulfs body in black fog like energy and then pounding the ground causes shockwaves that radiate with this energy.

11. Black Scream: Same as in lower form except more powerful.

12. Love's Inferno: Same as fires of love and pain, except stronger and has more options to how energy is used, same options apply to Black Shockwave.

13. Breath of Destruction: Black breath weapon that can be used like a normal breath weapon or create a "rain" from this.

14. Violet Overload: Same as before, only stronger.

Note: All the white parts except for the eyes are holes and I didnt color them for fear of ruining it.
