Just as the title says...
My initial thought for this cover was to show our masked villain looming menacingly over the people he hated most and so this first attempt was of a rich people party, as most of the things they are mad about probably originate with the people in control...but I didn't like it. It never quite worked. It never looked very good. And I wasn't sure the reflection of the masked villain's face would even read right once I'd gotten it done.

So I scrapped this version and started over with a much more simple, yet striking image of the villain looking menacingly at the people who may not be the most responsible for what's happening, but are certainly the ones they hate a lot more currently. And I think it was absolutely the right call.

Posting this mostly because I kind of like process stuff and acknowledging my failures. Not all ideas are the right ones, haha. The link to the actual cover is below.
