Description
The behemoth is one of the first large herbivores that inhabited Mars, with lengths of between 5-7 meters and a weight of 2 tons. These are part of the Crassignatha, a primitive type of Thyreocephala (land anomalocaris) characterized by developing a fleshy tube-shaped jaw, ending in mouth parts that were separated from the body. They had their heyday during the Olimpian (340-250 million years ago) but over time were replaced by more advanced herbivores, and finally become extinct at the end of the Fugarian (224 million years ago)
