Description Leaving the alternative earth timelines, there are also some alternative worlds created by entities of great knowledge and great technology that once they landed on earth and brought with them some of the creatures of some time periods, and put them in different terraformed worlds, for... some reasons (as we do with our fauna, that's an habit)

In this case, in a world populated by sauropods since the jurassic, the time and evolutionary pressures lead to the development of very stranges and aberrants forms apart of the common giant herbivores that mankind know.

The Chronotherus is a remain of the first generation of carnivorous sauropods which had been born from small omnivorous forms and despite maintaining its basic morphology, these were managed to modify their digestive system and part of the structure of the jaw to adapt to a more carnivorous diet. So big as an elephant and with a jaw of 2 meters long, these were the apex predators for millions of years until the arive of a second wave of predators came from a more derived group of sauropods. Now the Chronotherus is part an ambush predator part scravenger that feeds on medium and small forms of sauropods, some graceful species and in part carrion.

That thing is horrifying. I mean, a carnivorous sauropod is scary enough, but it has the head of a demon!

3 cosas:

gracias

Dragonthunders In reply to Rey-lich [2016-09-12 17:05:24 +0000 UTC]

1-Muchas gracias.
2-Era basado en el Titan Chronos, padre de los olimpicos (los dioses griegos) los cuales habia devorado, y therus de bestia.
3-Todo a su tiempo

Yeah, it would be funny, but also dangerous

Zgerken In reply to Dragonthunders [2016-08-11 16:18:59 +0000 UTC]

Thankyou for agreeing although the danger aspect wouldn't be that high as they would already be extinct except if they are the reason momeke abemba, excuse my spelling it's a legendary creature from Africa supposedly looks like a sauropod that's been known to attack boats and people, legands exists then it be wise to find out where they are and either protect them from big game hunters and poachers or move them, if possible, to some where safe! Sorry for diatribing on you, I tend to like looking up myths!

Great work. It's really odd, how familiar looking elements are combined with alien ones indeed giving it almost hybrid like looks.  I think it's one of the coolest speculative dino descendants I've seen.

Lightning-sky [2016-07-18 23:22:27 +0000 UTC]

That is terrifying. What if there were tiny little ones that could move as fast as a cheetah!? Or aquatic or flying ones?! Then that would put the theropods out of business.

So I'm a little bit confused, could this thing move quickly if you wanted to? Wire you some clause so small? Have any of the ship? Me I hate my voice software, let me try this again. Why are the front claws so small on something meant to be a predator, have any smaller sauropods become… Runners?question

I'm not sure which is scarier, this or the Bronthanatos made by Hodarinundu

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonthunders In reply to PrinceStaghorn [2016-07-02 15:18:49 +0000 UTC]

Maybe both

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PrinceStaghorn In reply to Dragonthunders [2016-07-02 16:47:45 +0000 UTC]

Hmm...

the Chronotherus is an ambush predator, elephant-sized, with a large and sharp-toothed but otherwise Macronarian-like head on a short neck

The Bronthanatos, meanwhile, gives the impression of being larger than an elephant, with a long neck, ending with a head bearing more of a resemblance to a Rebeccisaurid with sharp teeth, and the claws on the front limbs have altered into curved implements.

All and all, both terrifying in their own way
