Comments are better than faves, yo.Anubis, as portrayed in the LEGO series Pharaoh's Quest.
-IN OTHER WORDS- His design here is based on a LEGO Minifigure, as you can see above.
(though I don't think I've ever drawn Anpu the same way twice, so it's not too much of a change lol)
Drawn last night at my cousins' house. They're seven-year-old twin boys and have more LEGOs than anyone I've ever known. The little bricks are practically spilling out the windows there.
And of course I've always loved the Anubis Guard figure (of which they have two, and I got a keychain of one for Christmas) so I drew it.
They also have a Loki minifigure that is so cute I want it agh
lol look, he has blue abs.
EDIT: ALSO ALSO I got his sword completely wrong; the figure he's referenced from wasn't holding the sword so I made it up. He's supposed to have a khopesh. /EDIT
Pencil, Copic sketch markers and black felt-tip pen.

I actually don't like this one -too- much, because I think it's rather below-standard compared to my other work. But I'm glad you like it!
To be honest I was trying to draw his muscles the way they're printed on the figure, which aren't the way I usually draw abs--but as I drew I realized that they're pretty realistic, so I may change my muscle-drawing style slightly now, lol.
I don't think I've posted a decent drawing of a guy with muscles before on here, now that I think about it. Interesting. I draw shirtless guys all the time in real life.

Thanks! And yes, I do, and find their religion especially to be fascinating. I post Egypt-related art now and then, which usually feature Anubis since I think he's so cool.

I wonder how I would interpret my art if I were someone else. (Too much Loki stuff, maybe. xD well, not nearly as much as some artists, but compared to the spare amount of one or two pictures per fandom I usually draw the stuff I have relating to him is a lot.)
