This is one of (whistle, (actually, I'm unable to whistle), a large amount of posts about some of the special items I've thought up for of breath of the wild 2.

Whether or not this is the same clockwork beetles that was use by the hero of the sky, is a question for another day.

This items regionally use was probably for activating remote switches and removing unwanted pests from hard-to-reach locations.
But the majority of them were upgraded for moving hazardous materials such as bomb flowers and time stones.

After being restored, this items limitation restrictions might involve the number of Octo balloons or energetic rhino beetles you have to fuel it.
While also making piece of equipment have a damage meter that requiring chunks of amber ore to repair it after receiving a certain amount of damage.
(And I would rather prefer that it doesn't require another ancient core in repairing these Beatles).

As mentioned in another post, I have the idea concept of an ancient furnace that can restore or even combine items such as this.
So adding different monster parts can also alter how the beetle can attack monsters and other foes.
Like adding an elemental attack with Keese Wings & etc.

That's most of what I have for these ideas. So post any ideas or details you have for these idea concepts.
