This is one of (whistle, (actually, I'm unable to whistle), a large amount of posts about some of the special items I've thought up for of breath of the wild 2.

This item is the physical form of a hero's heart becomes dark and twisted.

What once was a blessing of life for the goddesses chosen hero, has now become a dark plague to those who covet these accursed hearts.

Any player that collects these items without sacred water, had better possess plenty of heart points already, since heart restorative items become unacceptable while caring one of these cursed heart pieces.

For they will continuously deplete your heart points, while doubling any damage taken.

To fix this, you need sacred water for transporting to a fairy fountain or Hylia statue to perform a purification ceremony.

Naturally, a heart restoring fairy tonic would be needed for removing the curse, while goddess plumes restore the otherworldly blessings.

And since you receive a heart piece by helping others, it's only natural that Craddick crystal would be needed.
