Where it all ends
It begins
Attack got the world on my back
Gotta write our own story
Cause I know that we're the last hope
I'm fighting this evil
I soar like an eagle
And all that is left
A feather in blood
This city needs healing
My dreams are now breathing
And all that is left
A feather in blood
It takes a spark to start a fire
In the land of snakes and liars
I'm going where the Gods forbid

Commonly Seen
[Social Awkward]
"...Uh, okay...?"
Altair hasn't had much social interaction since he was little, other than his twin. And even then he was always the quiet type, and often the odd one out. While the other cubs learned how to fish and cuddle with their human owners. He learned how to kill another cat, or climb a building, or sharpen one's claws... So he's always been a little awkward, he may even come across as shy at first - but he's not afraid to talk to others by any means - he simply doesn't know whatto say most of the time.
[Quiet]
"...."
This one is pretty simple, Altair doesn't talk a lot, ever since witnessing the murder and death of his parents, he seems to have lost all desire or ability for small talk. His sister does most of the talking for him really, but when he does speak its usually blunt and to the point. He doesn't beat around the bush.
[Blunt]
"That's stupid, don't do that."
Altair doesn't really beat around the bush, he says what he means and gets to the point. He doesn't always mean to be rude, sometimes he is though. He just doesn't like to play around, he's very much a serious guy and finds useless idle chat to be meaningless.
[Sarcastic]
"Yeah cause that worked so well last time..."
Altair has learned to express his unhappiness in sarcastic comments, or sometimes he is even trying to actually be funny and make felines laugh, sarcasm is his go-to. Whether because his sister dragged him into something and he is unhappy about it. Or he's trying to be friendly for once and make someone laugh, this guy uses sarcasm.
[Easy-Going]
"Whatever you wanna do is fine with me, I don't care to step into the drama-argument you are having."
Altair is pretty easy going and if there's drama he's likely to step aside or walk away. He just doesn't care enough to get into what he see's as 'petty' arguments over everyday life. He see's as having a more important goal - holding up the creed of his parents, bringing down evil people who the world would be better without, training, surviving, living. These other things seem less important in comparison, he used to get caught up in all of it, as a cub. And he wasted his time he could have used to save his parents. So now, he vows not to waste any time.
[Mature]
"If your going to become a good fighter, gladiator, or warrior, you need to learn to not take criticism to heart."
Altair had to grow up all in one moment, one day, one hour, one second of his life. When his family died in front of his eyes, he tossed out his childhood and became an adult. Sometimes his maturity makes him a bit stiff and awkward around cubs or playful felines. Seeing playing and games being 'silly' and 'unnecessary'. But other times its good, because he's able to look above small arguments and drama to focus on the more important things.
[Workaholic]
"One more set, let me just finish this set..."
Altair is a workaholic, he doesn't play, he doesn't do games, he works. Trains, and trains more, often his sibling has to tear him away from his work to make him rest. But even in rest, he has no real peace because the nightmares of the monster's he's seen, the murder of his parents, the monster he's become himself, still haunt his dreams.
Uncommonly Seen
Trigged by certain events or people
[Concealed Emotions]
"Don't worry about me, I'm not afraid."
Altair isn't one to express his emotions much to outsiders, for this reason, he isn't really the best if your looking for conversation... He can be rather stoic and quiet. He tends to be more expressive around his sister, revealing more of his feelings. But around most others, especially strangers, he is very concealed and mysterious about how he really feels.
[Disciplined]
"I spent all night training."
Though a more positive side to his workaholic-ness is he's quite disciplined, able to stand vigil all night, and used to receiving orders that required a disciplined and enduring feline. He'll sit in the rain if he has to... So he can get his target.
[Philosophical]
"Isn't it better to end one life to save many? Or to end one life to better the multitude? Or should we try to save everyone? Is it even possible to save everyone?"
Altair, once you can get him to open up to you, actually has some pretty deep thoughts. Yeah, his head isn't just full of space who woulda figured? Don't mistake his quietness for lack of thinking. This guy has all kinds of deep thoughts just waiting to be explored, but you gotta gain his trust to learn of these thoughts.
HistoryWhat is their past?
I've been trying to send a message
You can never know if you're next
I follow whispers on the wind
Leading me to those who sin
Them I'm gone before the dust sets
Note:
Altair's history involves death (human and feline), murder, and shark attacks, I'll put warnings in the places they appear.
Altair was born into a litter of two, twins, him and his sister Aveline. They were born to their parents Sayah and Aznil in the city of Valentia. His sister is the firstborn, and often likes to remind him of that when he tries to boss her around or when she wants to tease him. When he was younger he didn't mind really, he just wanted to play, have fun, joke, enjoy life. He felt like he was the greatest and no one could convince him otherwise. Him and his sister often bickered but it was all in good fun, they always got along well, though she sometimes wished he took their parents work more seriously. He didn't care much for training like his sister did from a young age, who wants to come home with bruises and scuffs? He did train a little bit, his parents teaching him how to scale buildings, climb tree's, and sneak around the city when needed.... Even teaching him a few things like how to kill. But it was really just because he wanted to show off to his friends down the street, not because he cared about the... Strange goings and leavings of his parents.
He didn't fail to notice that Aveline often got special attention, getting private lesson's from his parents. He didn't know what kind of work they did, but he suspected she did. When he tried to ask, she wouldn't tell. He didn't care anyway, he just wanted to have fun, so he gave up asking quickly enough.
What did his parents do? They were Assassins, but not just any kind, not just fore hire or money. They were a long line of Assassin felines bred to be large, fierce, aggressive, agile, yet skilled, and easily trainable, who responded well to human commands and motions. Much like how German Shepard today are trained for the police and military. These felines worked with their human owners, who also worked in the same field of Assassinations. Their goal was to take out cruel and evil leaders, those who abused power... Of which there were plentiful in the Roman army.
But their numbers were small, and their power little, and soon the walls were closing in around them.
Things would take a turn.
One day they traveled to Nemanusus with his parents, twin sibling, and their two master's. Altair was told to go play down by the ocean while Sayah would watch from near-by. Aznil and their master's left, for what reason Altair never quite understood only that the smell of blood was thick on their scent when they returned, yet no blood could be spotted on their pelts.
Altair didn't question it, he gave up questioning it. All he wanted to do was jump into the ocean waves and SWIM! However Sayah warned him that swimming in the ocean was dangerous and something he should NOT do. Now, will a cub of rebellious Assassin's listen? No, of course not. So he jumped right in.
And he suddenly learned swimming when a wave was about to crash on top of you was a really hard thing to do. He found himself trashing against a endless world of water that was sweeping him down, and when he opened his oddly coloured eyes he found nothing but blue darkness and light above. So he swam towards the light.
WARNING: Mentions of sharks / sharks attacking, if this is a triggering fear for you skip this >w<.
But something brushed against his legs, and something red floated up at him.
He had bitten his lip in his struggle, and the thing that rubbed his leg? Yeah, that a shark.
Oh.
The shark swam under him like a monster from hell itself, its black beady eyes, its jaws opening up like a endless pit of darkness ready to consume him. He opened his mouth to scream but all he got was water, as he swam as fast as he could for dear life. When suddenly the jaws came snapping shut on the end of his long tail and pain like no other shot up his spine.
Note: Shark attack part is over.
He barley remembers what happened after that, he saw a red blur pushing against him, that faintly resembled his sibling. Soon followed by Sayah and Aznil, but mostly he just remembered the pain of his tail, vomiting up water and who knows what else, blackness soon engulfed him soon after. It took weeks but they were finally able to head home, his tail now significantly shorter... And his balance was off. He spent a good few months stumbling around like a cub.
He didn't want to be like this, so he dedicated himself to training, climbing, sparring with his sibling, and practicing his balance. He pushed himself day and night, climbing higher and higher, not caring of the danger, he needed to prove to himself that he would survive, he would thrive. He took his training more seriously, still unaware of what his parents really were, his suspicions grew. He didn't fail to notice the odd "A" shaped symbol both his parents had on their armour... And on his master's swords...
Or the blood that often was stained on those swords.
But for all his training and suspicious it didn't matter.
None of it mattered.
I fight a war among the shadows
Gotta be wary where the sand blows
Attack got the world on my back
Gotta write our own story
Cause I know that we're the last hope
Warning: descriptions of death!
One day Altair jumped onto the roof of their home from the house opposite, his sister was out on one of his parents 'errands' that always seemed to take longer then what a normal errand would take. But he didn't mind, he'd have the house all to himself then, so imagine his surprised as he slipped into the second story window and jumped down onto the wooden floor to hear the sounds of hissing, yelling, and rising human voices.
"Mom? Dad?" Altair called as he came down the steps, but the cub froze in his tracks as his eye's laid on the scene in front of him, he barley registered the scream of pain that echoed in the air. All he could see was how the roman guards had speared his father right through the stomach, the end of the spear smeared in dripping red blood coming out of the other end.
His eye's met his mothers and she begged him to run, but his feet were frozen.
The roman guard laughed as his master, his human owner, pulled out a sword and swiped at him, a dagger in the other hand as the skilled assassin fought back. Yelling in rage and anger at the loss of his beloved pet.
The room was filled with fighting humans and felines, and blood everywhere.
And he couldn't move.
How did this happened?
Why was it happening? Why were these... Romans? were they even guards? They wore Armour but not like the usual guards, why were they after his parents? Why were they being killed? Why was this happening? He found his paws running, but he wasn't sure where, he tripped in a pool of blood and turned to see the face of his mother, eye's open and bleeding on the ground.
Note: Death over
He found himself running through the streets with bloodied paws, running down alley's bumping into people. Running, running, until he stumbled down a alley way and turned to face the face of his twin. His siblings, her pink and purple eye's gazing on him with confusion. He was panting loudly, shock, horror, fear... Rage filled in behind his pink and light green eyes that gazed back at her.
"Altair? Why are you covered in blood? W-What... What happened?"
"Their dead Aveline, their all dead, their gone, their DEAD."
The silence that followed was deafening.
It was time for him to learn of The Creed
The Assassin's Creed.
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted.
Stay your claws from the flesh of an innocent.
Hide in plain sight."
"What... What is this? Line? What... Are we? I-I Don't understand, why did they have to die? Why?!"
"We're Assassin's Altair. I'm an Assassin."
"...I'm An Assassin too."
"And vengeance is ours."
Where it all ends
It begins
Attack got the world on my back

Cause I know that we're the last hope
Altair and Aveline escaped the city of their birth to wander out in the wilderness, soon finding that some places were already claimed by these 'empire' cats who didn't seem keen on them breaking border boundaries... Of which neither sibling really cared, they still trespassed when hunting, but otherwise avoided it for the sake of avoiding needed fights. Altair didn't have any respect for the empire cats though, they weren't willing to do what was needed. They were too soft, too lazy, too easy going about the suffering of others in the city, and not willing to help. He couldn't bring himself to bother getting close to them or anyone else. He didn't need anyone else, he just needed Aveline.
They started a new life, discovering a larger city, in the case of their owners being killed. Their parents told them of a man in the city, a friend of the family and a fellow Assassin. So they went there, learning new jobs to cover on the true reason of their existence in the city. Plus...A new place to train, and train they did, Altair spent the next month learning from his sister about being an Assassin, what was needed of him, the killing moves, along with moving stealthily and dodging others attacks. About their history and their fight against evil rulers, against the Templars, against anyone who would rule cruelly over others.
And this is how their story begins, only time will tell how it continues...
The Assassin Twin's are here.
The twins stayed in Massilla for a time before there master decided to change Cities they soon moved to Gaul where they now reside in Lyons.
