update 2/25/202! This update has been waiting awhile but I can finally put it up now
Small design revamp, lines for the right full body pics purchased from VertigoCrime , extra art by Nythero , Taitloo-R and Sparaze sorry about the tags!

UPDATED 6/6 2018  Image update + major history update! PLEASE if you have read her history before read it again! I have changed some details! The main early points of her history are similar but her later / more modern history has been revamped. The reason primarily being that it had huge time-gaps in it, and didn't make much sense, so I tried to fill in the gaps and refine it to be a bit more fitting for the lore.

I adopted this girly from @/Grey-Griffin and super hyped about her <3! Her design got some minor edits and her history has been edited as well while keeping the general plot - but might be good to re-read it if you have read the old version!

Backing down? Definitely not Nieva's thing. She fights whatever and whenever necessary, primarily to protect those she cares about - a selected few.

"I'm not backing down"

Whenever Nieva put her mind to something, she'll highest likely do it. She's ambitious when it comes to achieving new goals - mainly for herself - and anyone who stands in the way, won't get away without a piece of her mind.

Restless
"Will they forgive me? What if the hunters attack again? What will happen to my cubs?"

Nieva rarely sleeps. She hardly sits down. She is always on the move, whether it's on a patrol or just hanging around the territory. She often takes trips - finding a good tree - to watch what she can of the city, keeping an eye on any cats moving towards the empires.

"I'm a Stone Cat, always will be, I've made mistakes, but I won't give up."
Nieva is loyal to both her empire, the other empires and her friends. She's had some run-ins with the 'damn' hunters before and is pretty much loyal to everyone who fights against them. Of course, that is only temporary loyalty - it can soon change. Want it to last? Become her friend.

She doesn't really mention it, but if someone gets hurt, she'll be the first to feel bad for them. She has closed herself off more and more, but still tries to reach out to those who, like her, are alone. Because she knows how it feels and though struggles to show it, wants to help.

When someones' had a taste of her blood, she'll want to taste theirs. Due to her determined and restless nature, she'll spend much of her time training and planning for how to get back at whoever hurt her or someone she knew.

Background Information

[ Cubhood ]
The wild. That's what they called it - the place where she was born and raised. Some chose to frown upon it, others admired it. She never really thought about it that much. It was her home and that's it. Her mother, a beautiful and usually bright colored snow leopard named Alova, was just like her. She too grew up in 'the wild'. Her father, on the other hand, she didn't know much about him. She remembered his darker fur, his scent and fierce personality, but that was it. She didn't really have a chance to get to know him though, he left soon after she was born.
After her mates disappearance, Alova was alone - well, except for Nieva.

[ Apprentice ]
Growing up, Nieva was told bedtime stories about this far off land in which cats lived side by side. Empires, they called it. From what she had heard, it was supposed to be coliseum run-aways that had decided to settle down in a group - to protect themselves from ever getting caught by the bounty hunters and thereby getting dragged back to their cages.
At first, she didn't quite believe it, but Alova insisted that what she told was true. She claimed, that if anything was to happen to her, Nieva should seek out the empires and find safety there. After many nights of stories and discussions, Nieva promised to do so. Alova was a caring and loving mother, but she made sure to teach her daughter some manners and punish her when she didn't do as said. It didn't help that Nieva was an extremely stubborn cub. A lot of nights the two hardly talked to each other. As time went by, Alova got used to this and eventually, she became rather distant.

[ Gladiator ]
When Nieva turned two years old, she left her mother to become a rouge. It seemed to be an easy way to live at first - besides the loneliness. It was only her, taking care of herself, but she didn't realize the mistake she had made until it was too late. See, when she turned her back on her cubhood home, she had to find a new one to herself and she did - a place much closer to the city of Massilia.
It was then that she met another feline called Silas, a male, whom she was with during 2 years of age. Silas was a coliseum fighter, but he occasionally left the coliseum to visit Nieva. The two would spend time together in the late evenings and days he was off from the fighting. Of course, since Silas technically was a run-away, the bounty hunters decided to hunt him down and force him to stay in the city. When they came for him, Silas saved his own butt by leading them to Nieva and Alova, She had heard about the bounty hunters, but she had never met one.

She knew that their job was to find coliseum-runaways and bring them back to their humans, but since she had been a rouge her entire life, she assumed that she was safe. While Silas was leading them to her and running far away himself. This broke Nieva's heart, but also gave her a reason to dislike the hunters, that stole her mother and stole her mate. She was lucky to escape the Hunters, despite being a loner, they still wanted to take her into the city.
Due to the turn of events, Nieva never told Silas that she was expecting their cubs. Not did she search for him, when she gave birth to them. With her mother gone and herself being as young as she was, she didn't think that she was ready to take care of cubs. She didn't know what to do and just left the cubs alone - in the wilderness. She never knew what happened to them afterward, her fear, her pain, it drove her to make a mistake she would forever regret.

Missing her mother, afraid to being alone and haunted by things she had done in the past, not to mention a hatred for the bounty hunters, she joined Ice empire. After spending some time in Ice Empire and fighting in the battle of Massilia, Nieva decided to pursue her plan to find her mother and bring her back. When the leopard, Laertes, brought forward the idea of starting an empire to fight the hunters, Nieva didn't hesitate to join. Surely, there would be many more chances of finding her mother through Stone Empire, than through Ice. Plus, she wanted revenge, she blamed the Hunters for making her leave her cubs, for losing her mate, for all the pain she had kept hidden in her heart.

As she grew to meet the Stone Empire family, she met someone she wasn't expecting - one of her four lost cubs - Moreno. Shocked, and surprised, he was much older now but she still recognized him. He was... Alive! She was filled with joy, and grief, worry, pain... She had left him all alone, what kind of mother was she?
She couldn't bring herself to tell him, no, he deserved not to know why he was left, he deserved to have a good mother. Not her. She wouldn't cause him more pain than needed, so she never told him, she was just glad at least one of her cubs survived.

Whether out of compassion, or maybe a need to prove to herself and others that she could be a good mother, she adopted a Caracal cub called Seeley. Seeley was a bundle of joy and energy, she trained hard, and Nieva loved her dearly. She tried her best to not be distant, to be a good mother, even if her past experience was lacking, she wasn't the best and still struggled with guilt, at times thinking maybe it wasn't such a good idea to adopt, doubt filled her heart. At times she voiced her doubts to friends, unknowing that her adopted daughter Seeley heard these doubts when Nieva didn't know she was there...

Durring the Stone Empire Raid on the Human Encampment (found HERE ), she told the others in her patrol to go on ahead without her. And she followed a scent she had caught, something unfamiliar, but not thinking it a big deal and not wanting to hold the others back. She followed the scent, going farther and farther as the scent got stronger and stronger, she kept thinking just a little farther then I'll go back - instead she walked right into a hunter trap! She was ambushed from behind, and in front, trapping her between the two hunters. She fought them both as well as she could, getting a good hit on the one hunter's shoulder and the other one's belly. But they also got a good hit on her, tearing up her legs and shoulder badly. The hunter's dragged her unconscious self back to the city, where she spent most of the next year.

That is... Most of the next Year anyway.

Having spent 12 months in the cages, fighting, eating, fighting, not eating, fighting, surviving. She had seen so much blood that the thought of killing another didn't... Bother her, at all. And that fact at the same time terrified her, every bone in her body hated the Hunters for doing this to her. She wanted revenge, she would get it if it took her whole life to do it.

Finally one day they slipped up, leaving the ropes around her muzzle to lose, she broke them, murdering the unlucky human who had gotten in her way, however, he had gotten a slash on her with his knife, slicing her underbelly. Running on adrenaline she almost didn't notice, until she had gotten outside of the city, and found herself blacking out in the forest.

She thought that would be the end, but as the night came, her breathing low, a human found her, and dragged her back to his cart on the small dirt road. Finding some bandages and striches he fixed the snowie up and offered her some left over fish he had from one of his barrels. She was shocked at his kindness, this human, why was he helping her? Did he want to force her back into those cage's the hunter's had? Breed her to another feline? What did he want?

Turns out he just wanted to help her, he had to continue on his journey, so after spending a week his company the human said his goodbyes and left on his way. To this day, Nieva doesn't know why he was so kind to her, but she's forever grateful, at least not all humans are bad... Just most of them.

It took the snow leopard a long time to find Stone again, returning to the old camp only to find it abandoned, fear gripped her. Did the Hunter's attack? What about her cubs? Where they safe? She searched day and night, spending many sleepless nights worrying, until... Finally, she stumbled into the new camp, finding out that most of the cat's had assumed she left to join Ice without telling them. Moreno had disappeared, but Seeley was still around, and alive - Good, at least Nieva could know she was okay. But Seeley didn't seem to trust her anymore... will they ever forgive me? She was sad about this, but determined to prove her worth to them, she still needed to stop the Hunter's. To protect not just her, her cub, but all felines. And she respected the fact not everyone in Stone trust's her anymore... But she will continue being the best Gladiator she can be, with, or without anyone else's approval.
