I almost put o77 XD. Opps. Anyways, this is my new OC (which I promise I'll make a sheet for sometime!) Yaacova, Spartan 077. At first I was going to have it where the injections made her blind- Which would be possible except if they did she'd have no time to work on getting better hearing to make up for her lack of sight. As the Spartan injections increase the persons characteristics not make new ones, I found this out when talking to (more halo nerd then me XD). Though I'm glad he pointed this out, as I don't like things that don't make sense....>.>. So, instead I'm thinking she lost her sight DURING training, so she had time to gain that characteristic, and people have been known for losing their sight for no reason. The thing over her visor helps block out painful sounds to her hearing, but any other sound she can hear. breathing, the wind, the shifting of leaves, etc. This allows her to fight and 'see', she cannot'aim' but she can judge where the person is and even where their head is based of their breathing. And she speaslizes in CQB. In this picture its her with a modified Magnum in a cave, I'm quiet happy with how it turned out. Hope you guys like it too!

While the over all concept of this Spartan is interesting and rather well done;
I must say that the Spartan II Program would not have allowed her to continue as a Spartan blind.
They would have given her synthetic eyes or dropped her from the program all together.
Now if she's operating outside the UNSC/ONI, I suppose it could be possible for her to function as shown.
However she'd have to be in league with The Insurrection or some other splinter group.
Either way, great idea.

And yes, you have a valid point and I do not expect everyone to agree with me. But this Character is my OC and mostly used for RP's/Stories and Artwork. My theory was as she went blind not long before it was time for them to get the injections, and she tried her hardest and did fairly well blind. Why waste all the money and effort they put into her when she was almost done anyways? It seems a waste to me.

You're quite welcome, however I wasn't trying to say you "can't" have this as your OC.
I was merely stating this information because you "don't like things that don't make sense."
As I said, it's a very interesting design and I like it.
As far as Halo canon goes, there are multiple Spartans that were dropped from the program do to...
Handicaps that were acquired during training and augmentation.

Like I said it's possible for you to keep her as is and within possible canon.

one of my cousins friends was pulled off active duty because of blindness... no injuries no reason, he called it Hysterical Blindness.. what it actually was is Conversion disorder
