Fun stuff, eh? We got some foreshortening, an actual environment/background, a fun light source...
I think this looks nice, but it's not amazing, and I'm not completely satisfied with it unfortunately. I expected it to turn out a lot worse, so that's an accomplishment. I think a big problem is the grass. It looks kinda muddy, and doesn't quite pop as much as I'd like it to. Grass is definitely something I need to improve on. I'm excited to see how much I will get better with it! My favorite thing that I worked on in this drawing was the character's shading! Shading is usually my favorite part of any drawing, but it was really satisfying to shade this artwork.
You don't wanna know how many times I thought I was done with this drawing, saw a mistake or something I forgot, and went to go back and fix it. Now that it's posted hopefully that will prevent me from changing it anymore ahaha. I enjoyed working on this! This was a really cute character, and I'm glad I got to draw him (:
