Featuring a character of mine, Ferdinand. Along with 2 others, he is one of the main characters in a story I made. This story in question is still in the works for sure, even though it has been for at least a year or two already, haha. I have been drawing him a lot lately, more traditionally since my drawing tablet broke, and working on his character design. I think the design looks pretty nice with where it's at right now! I think he is recognizable from his line art/sketch alone, and I don't have to depend on his colors or coat pattern to make him unique, although they do help a bit. That's a win in my book ahaha.

It felt so good to draw digitally again after getting my drawing tablet fixed! I think the details and lighting in this are definitely different from what I've done in the past. I think I like it! There are some things I will change next time, though. It was very satisfying to do all of the shading and lighting. I think all of the lighting and such kind of washes out his expression though, which was supposed to be a worried/concerned look. Now, it really just looks like he's expressionless and staring off into space, but whatever, haha.
I tried to paint a very simple cityscape for the background. I think it looks alright, but very simple obviously. It's supposed to be like that to not distract from the character, so I think I pulled it off? The composition in this worked out nicely, I think. Overall I think this drawing looks nice : )
