It's finished. I've used way too much time on this.But anyway, after I read that Ketojan, the Saarebas you help out of the city, was originally planned to be a companion, I had a little ragefit and then had to draw WHAT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE /cry
Because the idea of Hawke helping him with those chains and the mask and stiches is just adorable.
I mean, how awesome wouldnt it be to have that guy around all the time. WHY BIOWARE, WHY DID YOU SCRAP THAT IDEA? IT WAS GOLD.
And his face was so much fun to draw. I think I'll upload a detail pic of it. And his face is of course all made up, I have no idea what he looks like.

... he was supposed to be an actual companion? D: Ok... Bioware officially hates us now. I loved Ketojan the moment I saw him and it just improved from there. In a sea of characters that I kept forgetting who they were, he really stood out D: I could have had a functional party going on with a decent mage too... and... the more qunari the merrier.

Kirkwall is doomed. Just doomed. And it keeps taking your family away from you. Might as well leave... and the Arishok was a source of rare, beautiful sanity in all the madness. The Qun never looked so good as after a couple of years in Kirkwall.

Why OH WHY IS HE NOT A COMPANION?!
For me, the moment you have with Ketojan is one of the two most touching and emotional moments during DA2.
Qunari are such a refined and awe-inspiring race, I longed to see more of them and know more of their inner lives. For me, just standing next to one of the warriors gazing at the sea through the arch in Lowtown was more inspiring than half the quests.
Blah, nevermind me, I spam too much out of my zealous fascination with the Qunari...

Making the mask have the illusion of being metallic is absolutely incredible. The shading on her hair is particularly well done, and the bit of chainmail is fabulous. Not that the whole piece isn't amazing, but those small details in particular "popped" for me. Wonderful work!
