When he was added to the party,I thought "Hmm,interesting character".
When his Arvaraad was killed by me,I thought "Oh,I hope that this awesome mage will join me".
And then he killed himself.I thought "What?Why?I could have talked him out of it!"

I wish there was a way to send BioWare lots of letters asking(*cough* raging *cough*) to somehow add Ketojan as companion when they make an expansion for DAII. Yeah, I know there's no confirmation about a coming expansion, but after the dozen downloadable quests, and one respectable expansion made for DAO, it's very likely.

Please BioWare! Give us fangirls Ketojan (or some other Qunari/Tal Vashoth with very simlar (*cough*copy/paste*cough*) attributes and background to Ketojan!

I love this picture. x3. I wish Ketojan was a companion, too. He would have made such an awesome one, and he'd really be the only mage my character could trust by the endgame. But seeing this and the fact that I'll be writing a story with him in it makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully they add him in with DLC someday!

Warning, spoilers below for the game. I'm sure you've played the whole game, though.

I am indeed! I am writing the story of my canon Hawke -- Julian -- and Ketojan is a major character in it. He's convinced not to kill himself, and ends up following Hawke. As he considers Hawke to be Basvaarad -- worthy of being followed -- I don't see why he wouldn't be able to convince him to join the group. And he's the only mage companion that Julian ends up trusting, for reasons I won't disclose so I don't give too many spoilers. ^^ I wish Ketojan was a companion. He's such a tragic and fascinating character, and he could offer a lot of insight into the Qunari, and in adventuring with Hawke, gain a new world view while still trying to remain loyal to the Qun. As your other mage companions are: your sister who disappoofs one way or another (or yourself, if you're a mage), an Abomination who betrays your trust, and a determined blood mage, I think that Ketojan would add a lot to that. If you lose your trust in most mages, why would you trust an Abomination and a Maleficar? Ketojan is someone Hawke can trust; he'd never betray him, having chosen to follow him. He has the restraint the Qun has taught him, and would add a great deal to the story and to his own development.
