Description

I've been cast into a pokemon mood, so I decided I'd draw some fakemon for no real reason whatsoever. I've been mulling over gym leaders and pokedexes, and I was wondering which pokemon I'd choose to be the starters. I like a lot of the starter pokemon from most of the game regions, but I decided I'd make my own, so I wouldn't have to strain over choices like "charmander or cyndaquill?"

Then I decided that I'm sick and tired of the standard water-fire-grass setup and the hundreds, perhaps thousands of fakemon starters that follow the tradition on this very website. It's not quite as balanced as the norm, but I decided my starters were going to use the elemental rock-paper-scissors of ground, steel, and ice (Ice beats ground, ground beats steel, steel beats ice). It was one of a few elemental triangles I could have used, but I've grown fond of my ideas for each type, so here I'll introduce the first one I thought of.

These ice beetles probably aren't an original idea, but I liked how they came out anyway. I don't usually draw pokemon, so this was fun to try. The first pokemon in this line is Snowphid ("snow" + "aphid"), the Ice Vermin Pokemon. At level 16, it can evolve into Snowrab ("snow" + "scarab"), the Ice Beetle Pokemon. At level 36, it can evolve into Snowcules ("snow" + "hercules", like a hercules beetle), the Glacial Beetle Pokemon.

Anyway, I'm not planning any big projects, so if you like these guys, feel free to use them however you want.
