Description Did some animation today for the "Artist Training Grounds"
I did about 40-50 frames of animation, most of which is in 12 fps. A small chunk at the end is the standard 24, but I ran out of time to do the rest of the inbetweens before submissions closed.
I plan on coloring/shading it some day.. we shall see....

I really do hope to finish it, I got most of the hard part out of the way! Although I've never colored an animation so I guess I don't really know hah!

What software did you use?

And forgive me my unwanted advice but, you don't need to make the animation on ones (24 fps).It looks much better and crispier on twos and you don't need to spend so much time on so many unnecessary frames. You can instead invest the energy and time to make proper slow-in/slow-out effect.

No advice is unwanted for me, my whole reason for making this account is to drive me to improve! I had no idea that it was common to animate every other frame, I knew something felt tedious. As for slow-in/slow-out effect, I'm not sure what you mean by that. Id love to though

OH and I used Krita's animation interface. It does the job and its simple. I'm too nooby at animation to jump into those more advanced programs. That and I'm also impatient to watch these long tutorials to learn about them.

I'm glad to hear that Here is a whole video about animating principles and slow-in/out is one of them: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn5OB1…

Oh I didn't know Krita has this option! Good to know that, thanks.

Yeah after your first comment I found a series by a guy called "AlanBeckerTutorials" and he covered 12 principles similar to this video. Thanks! I learned a lot already today
