I love the motion in this piece ... both with the waves in the background and the two felines in the foreground. 
And I also really like how the rocks came out. I'm not surprised this took you awhile, it's quite complex, lol. xD But I think the result was way worth it.

0///0 Thanks! The grey guy is Cesare and he is indeed a beauty. My favorite is the one next to him, Ezio. I went for the hard brush with the rocks and it worked out great. I really like drawing backgrounds but I don't do it enough because it's hard!

It is hard (takes foreeeever >>) but it's definitely worth it when you do it. ;3 I love seeing full background pieces so much, it gives you a full immersive environment and can help set the mood/tone of a piece.

Indeed. I just wish I could mesh the subjects and the background more seamlessly. I need to do some studies and figure it out.
