Description
When we realized that Onix that could be easy defeated despite it depiction in the anime, Nintendo gave us Steelix. The benefits out weight the risks for Onix evolving into Steelix. On the plus side Steelix gains a new immunity form poison when evolved plus Resistant to more moves types and does not have a double weakness to grass and water like when it was an Onix. However it know has gain a weakness to fire (grass will now damage it normally and water now does the standard 2x weakness damage) Plus Steelix has a lower speed stat then an Onix and that was somewhat slow to begin with. Though Steelix is very high in Defense, with a lack of speed, Sp.Atk can overwhelm it. But Steelix is still a good teammate and now can be caught in the wild (If you’re going to use Onix have it hold the eviolite ,an item that final from Pokémon can’t use)
