Description
This was drawn in response to a request from , who won a contest of sorts that I ran in my journal several weeks back. The prize was a drawing, of course. He requested a "cat-bird-person-thing".I took some artistic liberties, added a dash of whimsy, and came up with the snazzy looking character shown here.
He's quite the dapper, charming, and clever fellow. He definitely has a mischievous streak, though, and is quite the prankster. I would imagine that he has the ability to perform a little majick when the situation calls for it.
With a tip of his hat and a twirl of his cane, he greets you with a wide smile and sly remark.

He reminds me of one of the characters in a movie that you can't really tell is the GOOD guy or the BAD guy 'till the end. XD His design is so creative, I like it a lot!

Hmmm...I like him. Part of him seems like some kind of pimp or player....and additionally, he reminds me of the song...about the Magical Mr. Mestopholes, definitly not your usual cat (from the musical "Cats").

The more I see this cat, the more I like him. And the more I wish he'd whisk me away to a land of whimsical sardonic socio-political commentary and vague in-joke references.

This is up there on the unique-o-meter. I know plenty of artists who could learn a thing or to just be strolling by your gallery. I had your description in my head just with one look. I think you pulled off everything you aimed for and then some. Very colorful, very different. great job!

I just love the colors that you've used in this...they add to the fantasy and magical feel of the whole thing. And the "Mad Hatter" tophat with the peacock feather adds a lovely touch. ^^ That wide grin makes him look like quite the smooth talker, somehow... I can imagine him saying, "Oh, you just HAVE to buy this amazing...[insert cheap product here]." Heheh.

Funny enough, after I got done coloring him and sat back to imagine what he might be saying with that maniacal grin on his face, something along the lines of "Oh you just HAVE to buy this amazing... [insert cheap product here]" was definitely one of the things that I thought of! ^_^
