I didn't notice it at first, but a neat note on this pic is how it's colored with related tones- it really adds to the "theme" of the image. Her expression is great, and suits the pic well, too...

She was actually entirely devoid of character when I first made her up, so it's interesting to see how far things have progressed... I seem to like her more and more as time goes by X3

You're right about the gun design being odd. It was one of those things that I came up with years ago because it looked vaguely cool and, stupidly, seemed a good idea at the time ("yeah, let's make it look a bit like a crossbow"). I suppose it'll have to be some kind of magical weapon (it has infinite ammo anyways, so... XD), and the little pokey out bits are magical rather than mechanical in their function.

You should draw a gun that looks like a backwards crossbow; there's a reason magazines curve forward, and not backward (Hint: it's the shape of the bullet). I don't know how cool it would look, though.
IMHO, this gun would work (apart from the magazine issue), but it would have all the power,range and accuracy of a pistol (having a short barrel and all that).
After getting the gun nut-talk out of the way: awesome picture! Who doesn't love women with guns?
