This one's a commission.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I wasn't asked to do a background, but doing the whole magical burny sword thing seemed a good way to get around the problem of having a big, empty, boring space behind her. It also gave me an excuse to go nuts with the lights, which is something I haven't really done all that much for a while.

I've no idea how long it took in terms of hours. I spent a few days on it, as it dragged on for various reasons - a slight bout of "I can't draw" didn't help, having lots of complicated light sources made it take a while to colour, and certain other "real life" issues proved rather distracted as well. I had plenty of fun doing it, though, so it's all good :3

So, there you have it. Oh yes, lines were done in Painter (for once!), and colours were all Photoshop as per usual.
