This one's a commission.I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I wasn't asked to do a background, but doing the whole magical burny sword thing seemed a good way to get around the problem of having a big, empty, boring space behind her. It also gave me an excuse to go nuts with the lights, which is something I haven't really done all that much for a while.
I've no idea how long it took in terms of hours. I spent a few days on it, as it dragged on for various reasons - a slight bout of "I can't draw" didn't help, having lots of complicated light sources made it take a while to colour, and certain other "real life" issues proved rather distracted as well. I had plenty of fun doing it, though, so it's all good :3
So, there you have it. Oh yes, lines were done in Painter (for once!), and colours were all Photoshop as per usual.

I played WoW briefly at one point in the fairly distant past, but otherwise, nope... I just worked from a description for this one, although there's always the possibility that the description was based on a WoW character. I have no idea! :3

i really like the flame in the background it makes her look more magical then simply a brut. however the way she looks kinda pissed off at someone makes her look really sexy, too. ^^

I love the sword's design. Was that specified in the commission, or did you come up with it yourself? The runes, the spiked-guard, the broad blade... it looks really cool. Heh, or should I say "Hot"? *gets mauled for using terrible pun*
And the girl looks really good too, I think the lighting is best of all- you've done it spectacularly so that we can see the flames illuminating all her clothes.

The sword was already drawn in the reference material I used, so I didn't make it all up myself. The only part I "made up" were the runes on the blade, although they were specified in the description.
I found the girl's outfit really fun... I mean, who could not love the idea of lots of flappy cloth, yet revealing enough for all that sexy cleavage? XD And having had all the fun drawing it, I figured it'd be a bit of a shame to obscure large chunks of it with poor lighting, so having a big glowy flamey trail solved that quite nicely...
