Description
This is a characters that apperead in the Disney TV series "Buzz Lightyear of Star command", more specifically in the episodes "Dirty Work" and "Little secrets".

He is a genetic scientist from the planet Rhizome. Rhizomians are a race of aliens that have developed an advanced biotecnology that evolves around plants that are used basically for everything, from simple food to starships.
Professor Triffid is very prominent in his field of expertise and may perhaps hold a high place in Rhizomian society.
Normally Professor Triffid is a soft-spoken, calm, and wise professor with a Zen like attitude, always acting calmly and politely but he proved that he could be very assertive when he needs to be (although usually after giving an order, he comically immediately returned to his polite manners with a "please?").

I liked very much him thanks to the comical situations that he created when he opposed his calm and Zen philosophy to Buzz Lightyear "less talk, more action" philosophy and I also find very fascinating the idea of biotechnology proposed in the episode.
