'The mere sound of their bellowing roars can summon typhoons and they were once worshipped as the Architects of the Heavens, believed to bring good weather when appeased. Only a handful of these airborne giants still remain as the ability to evolve seems to have been lost in all other populations of Dunsparce outside of those still living at high altitudes in the mountains of Jakar, too well-adapted to a life underground to take flight like they once did thousands of years ago.'

Dunsparce-evolutions are nothing new, I have seen plenty of really cool ones all over DeviantArt and Pinterest, and mine maybe just another to add onto the pile.
Dunsoaring was actually the very first fakemon I ever designed, having come a long way from that boring old 'Dunsparce but make it longer'-design it used to have.
And for those more experienced with game-design: Let me know if my idea for Stormy Terrain is too OP. I struggled a lot when it came to what types Dunsoaring should have, Flying seemed like a good fit given that it has gone from a landdwelling creature to a skydwelling one, but both Normal/Flying and Flying/Dragon has been overdone to death and I wanted to do something unique. I have been played Pokemon Reborn recently and as such the idea of a field that could solve that issue came to me.
I will also admit that one aspect of creating new evolutions that nobody really thinks about really got my gears turning, and that is why these new evolutions was only discovered in that particular region and nobody realizing that the pokemon could evolve until that particular region (regional variants don't count because they technically qialify as a separate species). It is something that ususally just glossed over so I decided to incorporate that into the story. The idea of Dunsparce having lost their ability to evolve in all other regions because they adapted to living underground sounded like an interesting idea to me.
