Description
I've referred to the Whiskertons as the "Combat Kittens" before and that's not just a cute nickname - the three are actually soldiers, even if they don't look like it. They make up the 588th Armored Division of the Last Legion, and are very unique compared to other Legion Special Forces units. Being descendants of Rowena Branchclaw, a Catkin sorceress from the Dark Times, they all possess a small degree of magical power. It's not enough to cast big, world-breaking spells like a battle mage, but it's enough to fuel and power a war frame, a magically-augmented suit of battle armor. Each of the three has their own suit with its own equipment, weapons, and magical capabilities for different roles in the field. However, this great power comes with a cost; overuse of their suits' magical reactors causes severe overheating, which could lead to a catastrophic explosion if they aren't careful.
Of course I'd save my favorite for last. Neka's armor is designed for heavy assaults and dealing out LOTS of damage while soaking up enemy gunfire. Its arcane shielding and armor plating are some of the strongest of the three, and the wheels are exchanged for tracks, letting Neka wade through rougher terrain than her sisters can. The downside is that while a lot of power is dedicated to the power field, very little goes to the motor systems, making the frame incredibly slow. To compensate for this, Neka's armor boasts some very heavy weapons: a mini-slugger on the right for mowing down enemy troops, and a small-bore cannon on the left for holding her own against war golems and tanks. Neka is often deployed first when the 588th is called into battle, acting as a living battering ram to clear the way for her sisters' advance.
