finally getting around to posting a bunch of my accumulated design sketches!

in order to only put my time towards designs folks actually want, I'm gonna be posting the sketches or wips as-is and whoever's interested can buy them for me to bring to completion :3c

(all the upcoming batches may seem like a lot but they're really only my favs that I don't plan on keeping for myself and also felt done enough to share; I actually have well over a thousand base sketches and ideas in my wips folder that I constantly add to and pull from x'D)

first batch here are a bunch of 'guardians', my original species that xen was the first of! the following is just suggested lore but you're free to do with 'em as you please:

each Guardian is the protector and embodiment of a certain element, be it air, foliage, love, etc. they ensure that the energy of their respective charge flows properly and interacts with the others healthily, and each have a power specific to themselves.

as all Guardians are spirits, they have no genders and therefore little pronoun preference (so long as you refer to them respectfully). they also do not eat, drink, or sleep: rather, they absorb energy from their respective element. the Guardian of Water flows with the currents, that of the flame re-energizes from the Sun and and all burning pyres, and so on.

despite being incredibly intelligent and wise, Guardians are completely incapable of directly making any sort of sound. speaking with one is sort of a one-sided conversation, but you can understand what they mean by the feelings they convey to your spirit, as well as their body language and how they 'watch' you.

their 'masks' are their actual faces, are made of bone, and are completely static. Guardians are generally about a metre high, though it is said that some can alter their size at will. they're gentle and peace-loving, and will usually allow kind-hearted people to stroke their ultra soft fur, but never their faces.

• extra views are available for usual prices ($60 per flat fullbody, $30 per headshot, $5-$10 per 'prop'); adding text for name or bio is free!

• I'm willing to make minor adjustments for free once the art is completed (such as altering a hue or marking), however at my discretion more time-consuming edits will incur a suitable fee

• prices listed are in USD, payable via paypal, stripe, or e-transfer if you're canadian, invoiced and paid before completion

• I'm also willing to entertain offers of art for my characters, alone or combined with dollars; you can go ahead and comment bids, but please don't be upset if I don't accept ;v;
(I'm not interested in other designs, as I prefer all my characters to just be completely original ahah)

• turnaround is often a few months depending on current queue at the time (you can check that here ).
if you're unsure, you can ask me upfront, or else pay a rush fee to be pushed to the top of the queue

• please credit me when sharing the completed image, and at least once for the design ♥
