I earnestly can't think of a more romantic reunion between any other Sonic characters. Sure, if Shadow met Maria again, that would be extremely emotional, but their relationship wasn't likely romantic. What I like the most about your picture is the amount of pain that I see in it. Nobody else captures it nearly this well. I can almost feel it, the soft embrace of their arms as they tremble at each other's touch. They're trying to hold back tears because growing up in the bad future if Iblis's hell has taught them to be emotionally strong. . . but they can. It's going to rain--and for the first time in forever. By the time they are done, both their eyes will be so sore and red that they'll wonder if they're even still alive, but they'll still feel one another's body. It's real--even if their entire lives, they wondered if something so good could actually exist. At first they will try to sit face to face, but their bodies will be too weak. They'll end laying next to each other before another rush of tears comes pouring out. How long has it taken Silver to reach Blaze? How many dimensions has he chased Eggman Nega through, trying to put together the fragmented parts of his past. It all comes down to this. . . and it was worth every minute of it.
I'd go longer, but I'm tired. You made some seriously inspiring work.
