Description
The first page of the first Volume of DreamKeepers! I was checking my gallery, and realized I barely have any page samples up... Well, time to stick a couple more on.....Don't you HATE it when you wake up to this? Talk about starting out on the wrong foot.

This character is so beautiful...If she had lived longer, Lilith would probably have some competition as my favourite character...or maybe not. Lilith is unbeatable.

I'm not sure if you follow our bi-weekly webcomic, but Jeneviv appears in it prior to this incident. Β www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/Prelβ¦
Just have to go back aways in the strips.

I do follow the Prelude webcomic, and it's great to see the character lives on in it.

I can say that it sucks to be her. And also this is the most awesome graphic novel I've ever read

Actually, that character could be recognized from the free Preludes, after aging for 5 years - it's actually Jeneviv.

Er, yup - it's Jeneviv. Kind of not the best start to the story for her.

What happens to a person when their Dreamkeeper dies? are there any notable changes?

They no longer have protection from otherworldly demons, so when they sleep they are assaulted by horrible demonic nightmares in their mind. Sometimes the mental attacks can even extend into waking periods, driving the person insane. Definitely not a fun thing to have happen.

Just checked out your website today.... All I have to say is damn good. Your art style is great, and I've only checked out the sample pages plus the prelude stuff, and it's all great. It all just keeps me wondering, and guessing what might happen. When I saw this part I thought to myself,"Wouldn't want to be her right now....." It's all great, and I'm thinking bout buying to just see the rest.
You are also a great inspiration to young artists like me. I want to make a graphic novel, and yours in a way inspires me, and helps give me ideas. So in a way thanks.

Oh, thank you so much! I'm glad you like our stuff so much, thank you for the encouragement and compliments!
I'm extremely honored if I can be any kind of inspiration to other artists out there - I'll try hard not to face-plant and be a bad example.

You're very welcome.
And yes I believe you are very inspirational, and don't worry bout takin' face-plants. We all take one every now and then 'cause we're only human. So no worries, eh?

Yeah I remember reading that part. It was so emotionally disturbing and unexpected. That is why I love this comic. <3
You never really know what's gonna happen next. :3

Vey nicely done! This kinda looks like a situation where my character Jonathan would come to the rescue.

It's like a really bad Burger King commercial.
"Wake up with the King. "
See, this is what I like about your stuff. The characters in general look like they just got out of a Warner Bros. studio, yet it's definitely not a kids story. It's awesome. And that last panel is oh-so-sexy...

Ha ha, I love the burger king commercial idea. That's awesome. Makes me want to photoshop his face in there just for the heck of it...
DreamKeepers COULD be a kids story... as long as the kids don't mind being traumatized and such.... Actually, it reminds me of how the original fairytales were way more graphic and risque than the modern versions - they used to know how to terrify children back in the day!

...That makes sense, I was wondering why they let the wolf eat Little Red's grandma...

I have always loved this scene. It's such a cool way to enter the comic...
You set it up very artfully, how there's all this dark stuff and then for the most part the rest of the comic is school kids doing thier slapstick routines. They have no idea what's underfoot!
