Irvine in three different outfits, representing the three stages of her character development. From left:

Normal Irvine: caustic, sarcastic, detached, withdrawn, sulky, harboring a pungent dislike of people and has really retreated from the world. Doesn't know or want to know her own strength.

Outfit is father's coat, paired with clothes she hasn't replaced since highschool. Self-inflicted haircut. Boots worn all year in all weather.

Black Irvine: She has embraced her gift as her salvation. Now has a bit of knowledge of her strength. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, as she becomes overconfident, volitile, and very reckless. Pushes things just to see how far she can take them. Boarderline self-destructive.

Outfit here is new, fits well and is functional and easy to move in. She has also gotten a professional haircut and wears her hair in a ponytail

The Red Death (Triple Seven Beta): Full fruitation of Irvine's power. Now has full knowledge of and control of her abilities. Still has a tendency to be blunt and sarcastic, but has matured as a person: is more levelheaded and experienced. Has come to terms with self and world.

Outfit here is new. It's a fine suit tailored for her. More sophisticated and serious then anything else she's ever worn. Has claimed her weapon: "7 Rooms," a black ebony boken that is the last alchemic weapon made for her kind, which protects her from magic attacks and gives her space-bending powers.
