"Although Adar's old body remains petrified in stone, his spirit survives thanks to the Thunderbird, who merged with the Wildborn chief to save his life. To avoid prying eyes, they've adopted a more discreet form, no bigger than an eagle of Earth, evading detection by the Emperor's Coven. After thirty years, however, as Tristan comes into his own and a certain human sparks a revolution, the time has come to shed disguises and come into the light."
