Description Okay, this Beyblade is a special Custom Design for ~GinGin-Schrei AKA Oz - This is one of her Beyblade/Bitbeast concepts; Mayet.
The Bitbeast is a lunar phoenix; a bird that is born and dies every lunar eclipse, and that has strength that waxes and wains with the moon phase - I forget the culture the myth originates from. Anyway, as a divine light-type, it's concept is that of the Egyptian belief about Maat; a form of holy honour concept, that ruled ones life, and the belief that ones actions in this life would effect them in the afterlife (even as much as them making into the after life). Maat is mainfested in the Goddess Mayet/Maet, who is the golden feather your heart is weighed against to determine it's entry in the afterlife.
The bitbeast really come from a number of strange things that occur around my sister Oz; she's a blood-type AB, and a Libra - symbols linked to Balance or a lack their-of; there is a lot of symbolism that links her to symbols of justice, balance, and especially Mayet. Thus, this bitbeast really chose her, in a really perfect way.
The bitbeast's appearance is based on phoenix's and an invert of the Egyptian Vulture - which was associated with Mayet, and the divine feminine (and since Libra, another aspect of this beast, is ruled by Venus, it seemed further appropriate). It is black, like the night sky, with aspects of white, gold and silver - star references. The symbols on the beast are fusions of the signs for Libra, the Ankh (a cross symbolizing eternal life in Egypt) and Venus. The Gilding is based loosely on Egyptian jewelry, and the stones set into it are Onyx and Pearls. She wears the white feather on her crown, like the Goddess Mayet.
The Beyblade, however, was made after the bitbeast - it has a black attack ring and a white base, which is based on the concept of balance (specifically yin-yang). It has numerous balance references and bird-figure heads, which were based on the Egyptian God Horus.
