Description

A new OC of mine, who came to me in a dream; I'm already fairly fond of her, and although I've slightly altered her design (and her name, which was Ava in my dream), I haven't changed it much - though I have to admit that she looked better in my dream because I can't draw

Anywhoo, I decided to write up a few details about her before I forgot them. I'm pleased with how quickly I was able to complete her profile (usually it would take a couple of days, non-stop), since I completed it in a day alongside a part of Oz's advent calendar - and that was with an hour's interruption, too! Very productive for me, given that I'm usually a completely lazy shit.

More on topic: Avira uses a type of kit not shown in the series, which is my own design, called Quantum Drive (My sister helped me to perfect the concept, so it has some basis in real-world physics, and helped name it, so credit also goes out to Oz, too.), which works on a system of vents and internal propellers, causing an air vortex to stabilize the tops and provide a longer spin-time. At some point I'll see if I can create a technical drawing for the Quantum Drive, it'd explain the theory better.

Similarly, her launcher also has basis in real-world mechanics, although it probably doesn't look like it; I'll attempt to explain how it works, but it would make more sense with a diagram. Basically, when she draws back the launch box and releases, the ripcords are drawn inside of the central pillar, where they turn cogs, which in turn pump a type of hydraulic fluid through narrow, high pressure tubes inside of the ripcord, and into the launch-box, which in turn, will rotate the cogs, causing the launcher-grips to revolve, and release the spinning beyblade. Naturally, this is a high tech piece of kit; if you wanted to sabotage the whole thing, you'd only need to break the ripcord, since if the fluid leaked out, the mechanism would fail. This is why there's actually a pressure gauge on top of her launch box.

I realize that I probably put waa~y to much thought into this, especially since most fans don't care about the mechanics of the Beyblades or Launchers - but whatever, I'm technical!
