Watching it come down as the sky turns read, fear pumping inside with a hint of dread. I open my eyes and see in despair, the sky is at the Boiling Point and mad as hell XD Awesome!

What a fiery image! The sky works very well here. I love the contrast between the orange and black sky, the green in the background, and the white, tan foreground. The balance is good, I like how the foreground rocks balance the hills in the background. I feel that there is a little extra space on the right hand side of the image that doesn't need to be there, it almost throws off the balance in my opinion, maybe three steps and perfection (just my opinion). Never-the-less, amazing well executed image!

I don't find that space to be 'empty', I feel that the clouds on the right pull you into the center of the image, and the rock is balanced well below in the foreground. Thank you for your input mate, much appreciated

It is a matter of artistic opinion, and are never single answers to this subject.
You recent slew of work is spectacular, by the way.

Amazing landscape and colors. Perhaps a bit less agressive noise reduction in the sky, which is contrasting too much with the very sharp foreground.

Less noise reduction just in the sky?

Perhaps it's because of the longer exposure, if those clouds were moving fast. The clouds have no texture, compared to the sharp foreground, so I assumed noise reduction had been applied to the sky.

It was a long exposure but not quite long enough to get the clouds streaking. My cable release is broken, only can do 30sec exposures at the moment.

That sucks... I always wondered why the hell camera makers don't allow longer exposures...

Again the sky is a bit too far off the orginal. The foreground works nicely though.

I wanted to bring out the orange colour in the sky, beautiful western light shining through... I do have to admit though, I played with selective colouring for a bit on this one. Glad you like the compo Alex

Yeah would be neat... but I'm lazy and wouldn't like taking multiple shots at 30sec long.
