I love the contrast between the areas of softness and the crisp detail.

Great shot. Just curious....are you using long exposure noise reduction on your 5d?
Love the colors on this and I'm typically a desat guy

No, don't really need it when shooting low ISO. The noise reduction is killer when shooting long exposures, the wait whilst it does it's reduction means I miss shots I could be getting.

well heres a classic drewyboy, you do a great job with getting your saturation right drew, you enhance the shot artistically but don't compromise reality...
i personally think this would work better as a 5:4 crop

Thanks man, appreciate that. I was actually thinking a 1:1 crop on this one, but I decided I'd lose too much definition in the sky if I went square... I'll try your suggestion

This is a stunning picture. You captured and brought out the colors fantastically besides the composition, which is perfect for this location. Great work.

Love it, so for the 130second exposure you use some special filters?

Definitely the best one of your recent uploads, gotta love the color of the rocks in the foreground and their sharp edges in contrast to the background.
