The first of many magical travel experiences to come, and many more images I will be posting from my Southeast Asia trip. Here's an image to get things started, hope you enjoy, but please do check it out on Google Plus or 500px for better image quality -Β 500px.com/photo/57152864An enchanting evening on the full moon of the twelfth lunar month in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. The Thai people celebrate an incredible festival over the weekend; 'Loy Kratong' festival, or the 'festival of light'. This image captures monks praying to Buddha on the night of Loy Krathong inside the grounds of Wat Phan Tao. I'd have to say no image will ever do it justice, you really have to be there amongst it to truly appreciate how picturesque and beautiful this celebration is.Β

You're right. I copied the caption from my Facebook post, the image compression on FB is terrible quality compared to 500px and dA.
