Description I'm rather proud of this one. If you are familiar with Mouse Guard, this is a bit of fan art towards it. It was a good way to test all the composition and everything I've been studying over the last two months. Anyways enjoy.

thanks, i worked for hours on that alone hahah. It's one of my first pieces where I really concentrated on figuring out how light works. It's also the first one that I actually experimented with how composition works.

I love lighting, it's so fun (well in my opinion hahaha) you did a great job on it though you should keep experimenting!

It's one of the first ones that I really started paying attention to all that. It's one of my older pieces and also one of my favorites. (older seems to mean half a year ago it I guess) But it taught me a lot of things. Gotta keep at it hahah. I've learned a lot since then.

Older for me is about three years ago...and then I look back and cringe/laugh...maybe both together

Hahah I used to draw a lot when I was small, then for some reason I didn't, then at about the age of twelve I got interested again, so have been drawing since then, so I have a lot of old stuff to laugh at

heheh yeah I love this one. It's one of the first ones where I started experimenting with composition and color. Now that I look at it, its kind of dark.

But it`s brighter in the middle, and then it fades out, like an actual firefly is there. Nicely done(: I could never do that. Haha.

It's just time spent on learning how to do stuff. The stuff you learn after a while no matter how trivial and minute will add up and things get really easy to do. The moment you give up is the moment you fail.

Very nice, I love the soft look of it I love digital painting but unfortunately I'm not very good with it XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DrexilWatcher In reply to pkstarst0rm [2009-08-18 18:19:42 +0000 UTC]

Digital painting is a lot of practice. I suggest practicing and learning light and color theory first though. It really is a good understanding of that more than anything. Not to mention at least a little understanding of composition.
