Hi. I run a magazine called Surreal Grotesque and for October we are doing a tribute to Lovecraft issue. I love your art and I was wondering if you would let us use some of your pictures for that issue. All credit would remain with you and I could run a small bio. You can see the magazine here: www.surrealgrotesque.com. We are legit and also have a book on Amazon called: Aliens, Sex and Sociopaths. Unfortunately I can’t pay for art right now, all I can offer is exposure, we do have over 1000 fans on Facebook. Thank you for your time. Let me know what you think or email me at Surrealgrotesque77@hotmail.com.

I am doing a Lovecraft creature specific gallery with creatures like Cthulhu, Dagon, etc.
I would love to run your comic in that issue, or at least the first few pages and then guide people here....

I know this was discussed previously, but I don't know the outcome of the discussion. It's all the more relevant as the holiday gift-giving season approaches: has this been published? If so, where can I buy it and for how much? If not, what permissions do I need to publish a single copy for a deserving individual?

Thank you so much!!

All in all I think it's just fantastic.
Like another commenter above I do have a little tug-of-war going on between the spare phrasing of Dr. Seuss and the verbose (sometimes redundantly) Lovecraft. It may be that an editor could help bridge that, or it might be you just need to sleep on it a bit and come back to some areas later with your own editorial eye. Regardless, you have your finger on something that is sort of profound when you manage to combine the sensibilities of these two poetic masters.
As for content, I was skeptical you'd be able to pull everything together, given the amount of layered framing going on in the original story. I can tell it was something of a challenge, and I am surprised I can say you pulled it off.. I mean, let's be honest, it still will be too confusing for "beginning readers" but this is not actually for kids, it's for Lovecraft fans.
That said, I would give it to my 6 yo daughter if not for that one little disturbing image (which is far too beautiful to remove) of the girl being carried off by the cultists... remembering as I do how clearly & permanently the images from Dr. Seuss books

burned into my memory from childhood, I can promise that one would leave a mark. As it should, what the hell.
Well my hat is off, I think this is probably one of the most original and polished pieces I have seen in a long time. Good luck with it sir!

I love it all. Having said that, I have to admit that I love the 'first' versions of these pages even more than I love the second versions of these pages. The first versions have a wider range of colors set in a smaller page with tighter compositions, and end up being wittier and more energetic; the 'revised' and 'improved' versions have fewer colors and more empty space, and so feel more dull and drab; the 'revised' versions seem more empty and ponderous, somehow, while the 'first' versions are tight and bright and right to the point -- fun and full of pep.

Why not drop the 'revised' versions right away and begin adapting 'The Dunwich Horror', right away? Now that is a follow up that I would love to see! What do our other readers think?
