The flashback begins ...
I figure there would be a restoration period after Zuko takes power, in which the Firenation learns to live as a peaceful nation again, after 100 years. Then when they begin to prosper support for the young firelord grows.
The Dawn of the Zukonian Age.
[I'm way too into this. 
]Mai has something on her mind.
The fire palace is a big empty place.
Ursa isn't in the Earth kingdom.
Zuko isn't pleased.
This flashback isn't off to a good start ...
But you know Mai and Zuko will surprise you.

yeah it may be a tad too dark of a red. The black seems to almost blend. The only way you can read the words is because they are typed. Lighten it up a bit.

I think it is a little too red. It makes me think they have submarine lights, rather than being a flashback. I'd go with more red-tinged sepia. Though submarine lights are awesome.

The red is great! it sets the mood (however, since things are somewhat calm at the moment, I would use a shade of purple that slowly progresses into a deep red. red right off the bat looks a little premature, mood-wise.)

The red is amazing, I love how long Mai's hair is. I think she left because Zuko was more focused on finding Ursa and rebuilding his country...Selfish bitch, you live in a Palace! Your the Fire lady! Isn't that enough? Go boss some servants around!

the red isn't bad, but maybe just the background colors could be given a more pinkish hue? It's still completely 100% beautiful, of course!! Amazing job as always! One thing i really like about your artwork, is it captures the emotions of the characters in full

The red is very nice. However, I would suggest (this is totally up to you as the artist) that the final frame, the red background stands out a lot, to me, and draws away from the action that is going on. Maybe make it a deeper red.
But I LOVE the red.
