In between commissions I do some practice pieces to give me a break without dropping everything all together.This piece is about 1.5x1.5 inches and drawn with a #2 mech. pencil.
I need to start my practice of realism because this coming fall I have a figure drawing class. Finally! I've been waiting forever to focus my drawing on things that really mattered to me. I've always wanted to be able to draw portraits of people so that it would rival a black and white photograph.
The best part is that my figure drawing teacher is amazingly talented from what I gather. His name is Zheng Feng. How awesome is that?
On a side note, I am super pleased with a recent commission I finished today and GOD I want to post it. But I cannot. Basically it's two hands carving wood and they're the most realistic hands I've ever drawn
I'd describe it more, but then I'd have to kill you. I guess you will just have to wait till the book comes out
One a side side note, this picture turned out...ok. I need practice. I gathered this piece from several tutorials.
