Days became weeks, weeks became months, and all the while Jess continued her new exercise regimen. After a while, it started to get easier as her body got used to the increased amount of physical activity. She didn't run out of energy nearly as quickly as before, and she'd had to start lifting heavier weights because the old ones felt too light for her.
Her figure was really starting to reflect her efforts to get into shape. She was still getting taller, which helped mask some of her old flab, but a sizeable chunk had still been burned away. What's more, her arms had begun to display some visible muscle tone. But she was still nowhere near her goal.
Jess had to keep going, but she was starting to get bored of doing the same old upper body exercises over and over again. It was time to do some research, to find other ways to burn off fat... and build muscle.
