So am I for the most part. I can see that on large civilian cruise liners or something they would probably have large decks where you could sit and stargaze. But military vessels would probably have only one or two very small areas for the crew to actually look outside. I'm thinking along the lines of Battle Star Galactica. Though the exception there would be the small craft. You just don't have the space available on small craft to provide the kind of redundancy that the larger vessels have. So on the intership and landing type shuttles, I deffenitely see a need for direct window observation ability.
