I've been meaning to draw Sarah and Toby from LABYRINTH, so when Zimeta and I made today 80s fantasy day it was the perfect opportunity to draw them~I've always loved this movie (though it was a little scary when I was a wee one), it's just so delightfully rich in every detail. And it even has a good story.
And it has puppets and animatronics and hnn. All the pretty things I love.Commission Information

LABYRINTH!! I loved this movie, and I still do. I watch it occasionally whenever I have the chance (at least once a year, anyways). It really does have all of the things one can love. Though I have to say, Sarah always bugged me.

They're instantly recognisable as the characters, but they look gorgeous in your style. I adore that you put them together while Sarah was in her dream-sequence outfit. There's so much detail in her outfit, which really balances out. Giant puffy sleeves and chubby striped baby. Its a good look.
I do love the way you add sparkles and shine to your art. Those little tiny touches of white just add so much.Β

Sarah's big poof dress is definitely her signature~ I actually like all of her outfits in the movie, but I figured the poof dress would be the most entertaining. And I love drawing big hair like this, even though it takes a long time.

I think you just became my favorite person with this drawing. :3 Seriously, it was this movie that inspired me to write, and later, to actually listen to David Bowie's music. That spawned even more stories, and all sorts of random shenanigans that exist in them.
