Only three more pages to go! Woo! And it only took 7 pages to get the exposition out of the way. Shame on me. And now that I'm here I've no idea if any of this is making sense or not. We'll have to see.Hm. I usually have more stuff to say than this, but I guess I got nothing.

I am seriously loving Lightstep! Just his design makes me wish there was a model of him out there in the world. A toy of him if you will.

I have a question and please don't take this offensively. In your panel, Lightstep appears to be bigger, like a T-rex compared to the other dinosaur. He is suppose to be that big or are the other dinosaurs small?

Lightstep is a Utahraptor, which were about 9 feet tall and 22 feet long. Moss and Root are young Iguanodons, which when full grown were about 30 feet long and and 10 feet high. I am trying to keep scale and all that in mind for the next page, when the raptors will be in the same panel as the grandmother, Lily.

Just wanted to ask. I previously thought that raptors were smaller than most dinosaurs. Thanks for the fact. Because I knew either I wasn't understanding something or maybe (Not accusing) the portions weren't right.

Velociraptor was a very small little guy, and he's probably the most popular. The proportions of the raptors in Jurassic Park were based closer to Denonychus, a 6 foot tall predator. Utahraptor is the largest of the maniraptors, I believe.
I make no claims of being an expert! Expect a few more panels with incorrect proportions! Huzzah!

That's probably why. Have you ever heard of Guamlong? (I don't think I spelled it right.) Yeah, you do have a good point there. I call my friend a Velociraptor because she runs like one. xD Don't worry about it. I love learning from others. But I'm glad I found someone who likes dinosaurs like I do. I'm not claiming to be an expert either but I know my facts. *in response to your last sentence* =O

If by strange you mean crooked, then yes. I have no sense of straight aesthetics. If you mean strange in any other sense, I've drawn a running hadrosaur badly ...

You mean Rhymar? Yeah, that's one of my fantasy series waiting in the publication wings. The first novel has been written (a couple of years ago, actually.) You can find loads of old art in my gallery.
The cheat and charmer line is not mine, it is by A.E. Housman, a superb poet.
If by chance you are referring to Mark of the Conifer, yes, that is my own idea, too. I wanted to do a Watership Down-esque fantasy about dinosaurs.

Oooh! That was unexpected. And I reallly like your raptors so far...they've managed to both be not just polite but...gentlemanly (wish there was a word for both genders with the same feel) and completely terrifying at the same time. The last line of page six was particularly good too.

Well, I was inspired by the bushido code, and the over-the-top interpretation of it in anime. "You have just cut off my arm, sir! I am proud to die at the skilled hands of a worthy opponent!"

I Really liked your Comic about monsters.. so touching. I keep thinking about the very last line randomly throughout my day, and I read it awhile ago. ^_^ You are very good at creating comics... I cannot wait to see how this ends... and in 3 pages!
