Pirate stuff, 19th century stuff, the possibility of freeing me from my never-changing hairstyle - They're just playing to my weaknessesThe eleventh in a series of comics I'm writing. I've learned a lot of things from my year on dA: various memes, styles and terminologies.
This week, Kuroshitsuji - or, if you like, Black Butler. Another of the world's massively popular anime series. And, like others of its kind, it's found its way onto deviantART. I actually have nothing against the storyline or the characters - in fact I'm relatively intrigued by it all. It's the fans reaction that rather overwhelms me. I mean really? Yaoi between a grown man (well technically he's a demon, but come on) and a twelve year-old boy? I don't care how effeminate he is, that's just weird. So yeah, this week's issue is more about the fans than the actual series
Oh and just because I said that I'm "relatively intrigued" by the series does not mean 'try and make me like it.' Seriously, there is no challenge here - so don't make one... please

yeah, i mean I cn see how theoretically a relationship liek thatMIGHt be healthy, - look at nature, they do it all the time, and we're animals too... unfortunately... but... it's so unlikely that anything like that in THIS TIME PERIOD could be seen as healthy and BE healthy by societal standards. I've never read or watched Black Butler... but according to a lot of my friends it's really good... I didn't know there was yaoi in it either... that piece of information didn't get around to me until now lol

Yes that is interesting. I assume that the author and creator doesn't want to confirm or in such way put a sign on Germany saying 'The bad Nazi nation' or something. It's actually good to see that the personalities are well chosen to avoid serious conflicts. But you're right, there's nothing about Nazis, China's 'Tank Man', how they split up Africa, killed the true people of America, How Sweden became all racist and killed/forced away Sรกpmi...

Haven't you noticed the so called 'obvious' pairings? Fangirls are going crazy over GermanyxItaly, GreecexJapan, USxUK, FrancexUK SwedenxFinland, DenmarkxNorway, RussiaxChina, SpainxSouth Italy... I swear, its impossible to have two male carathers being friends. The Yaoi fangirls will se it as a proposal.
